The Special Edition .416 Rigby “Elephant Gun” features the tried-and-true Mauser 98 Magnum action, which is 100% embellished with an elephant hyde style engraving, including the floor plate, trigger guard, bolt handle and bridges. Even the safety lever and mag release are engraved. Nothing has been left to the imagination with this rifle. It truly has to be seen to be believed and is a once in a lifetime opportunity! This is the only rifle of its kind available in Australia!
The rifle features the popular double square bridge action, meaning a scope can be mounted, in addition to the traditional Rigby patter iron sights regulated for 65, 150 and 250 yards - if open sights is the preferred hunting option.
The hand selected Grade 7 walnut stock perfectly compliments the engraving, with the well figured marbling running the full length of the stock.
This model features the lightweight 24-inch barrel which is perfectly balanced, and the horizontal wing safety catch accommodates a variety of scope-mounting systems on the machined action bridges, and is a popular choice among big game hunters.
